Lea JUSTUS Obituary

February 23, 1966 - May 2, 2024

We bid farewell to a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, companion for life, and a true loyal friend to so many. On May 2, 2024, Lea peacefully departed this world after courageously battling pancreatic cancer. Praise the Lord she is in a place where there is no more pain and suffering.

Lea leaves behind so many memories and stories by all who knew her. We all are blessed to have had her in our lives. Lea is survived by her loving children, Renae Harris and Justin Zimmerman, and his wife, Leah, who will forever hold her memories close to their hearts. Her presence and love will continue to be felt through her grandchildren: Payton Travers and Eli Harris, whose lives she enriched with love and affection.

Her life was shared with her partner, Dan Wunderlich, who stood by her side until the very end. From countless trips, celebrations, and air band performances, they were together and created countless memories.

Lea's loving parents, Doug and Judy Justus and Lorinda Carpenter (deceased) provided the loving guidance for which made her the incredible person she became.

She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Curley and Dorothy Justus, and Lorraine and Don Carpenter.

She leaves behind her siblings: Jill Manthey, Jacki Williford (John), Doug Justus Jr. (Anamaria), Darin Justus (Aleshiea), and Dean Justus (Kara), who are so thankful for all the wonderful memories, and sorrows that have formed an unbreakable loyal bond of being a family. Her nieces and nephews: Damond, Jordan, Sadie, Noni, Joni, Erika, Douglas III, Emma, Ellie, Jaycee, and Jessica. All had an incredible, loving bond with Lea and they are so thankful for all the memories.

Lea had many loyal and close friends, it's truly an inspiration of who she really was. Once you first met her, you knew she was special and that you could trust she would be there for you no matter what the occasion. A special person stated: "There is only one person I have known who could come into a room and light it up with laughter and love, and that was Lea."

Lea worked for the ODOM Corporation, which supported and encouraged her with her battle with cancer. Lea loved her job and the people that she worked with; all are considered dear friends.

A private family Committal Service will be held at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center/Queen of Peace Cemetery.

A Celebration of Lea's life will be held on July 5, from 1pm to 4pm, at the Ruby River Hotel in Spokane, Washington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to "Cancer Can't" of Spokane in memory of Lea Justus (www.cancercant.com).
