M. Patricia "Pat" PRICE Obituary

PRICE, M. Patricia "Pat" Feb 7, 1928 - Nov 16, 2025 Longtime Spokane resident and beloved community supporter, M. Patricia "Pat" Price, peacefully passed away Sunday evening at Rockwood South Hill, where she resided. Born February 7, 1928, in Alameda, California, Pat was a true California girl who brought her sunshine to the Spokane community. In the late 1940s, she attended Principia College outside St. Louis, Missouri. There, Pat met her future husband, Seth Marshall Jr., who passed away in 2010. They are survived by their four children: sons, Seth III and David, followed by daughters, Price and Morley. Pat moved to Spokane with her family in 1956. While raising her young children, Pat began her valuable contributions to the Spokane community. After serving on the local YWCA's board of trustees, she became actively involved as a board director for the Children's Home Society of Washington (now known as Akin). Throughout the 1970s, Pat served on the St. George's School as a board member. She also remained a lifelong supporter of Spokane's symphony orchestra. Thanks to daughter Morley's abilities as an equestrian three-day event rider, Pat found enormous fulfillment throughout the 1980s, working as a board director for the United States Combined Training Association, today known as USEA (United States Eventing Association). Among her many gifts, Pat Price excelled as a talented fine artist, whether as a watercolorist or oil painter. She also astounded with her clay sculptures. Later in life, Pat discovered her greatest passion, becoming the Gonzaga Bulldog basketball team's biggest fan. She fiercely loved "her boys" as well as their amazing coach. Pat spent her early retirement years in Tucson, Arizona, before returning to Spokane in the late 1990s. She remained active in the Spokane community as well as enjoying time with her children and two grandchildren, Cecelia and Clint. Pat Price represented the best of what the Greatest Generation offered and will be dearly missed.
