WEIGAND, Mark Richard
(Age 22)
Mark Richard Weigand passed away on January 23, 2018 in Cheney, WA. He was born to Rick and Diane Weigand on May 31, 1995.
He is survived by his parents; his siblings, Matthew and Melanie; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Mark attended Cataldo Catholic School and graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory School in 2013. He would have graduated from Eastern Washington University in March of 2018 with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Mark intended to start dental school in the fall of 2018.
Mark had an adventurous spirit and was happiest outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, hiking, skiing and driving through the woods. He was passionate about fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Mark had a contagious smile and personality - he had a positive impact on everyone he met and would extend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a loyal and fierce friend, and will be greatly missed by his family and his entire community of friends and classmates.
Vigil services will be Friday, January 26, 2018 at 7:00 pm at The Chapel of Three Companions at Gonzaga Prep, 1224 E. Euclid, Spokane. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 330 E. Boone, Spokane. Private interment will take place at Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Gonzaga Prepatory School, 1224 E. Euclid, Spokane, WA 99207.

Dear Weigand family,
I have cried so many tears for your family. I have signed your guest book earlier. My heart truly feels the pain your whole family must be going through. I lost my precious Brother at the age of 19 and I was 26 and now at 56 the healing is an everyday process with completely leaning on God to give you strength. I watched my Mother go through the pain as well as my siblings and rest of family. Everyone grieves differently and there is no time to get over such a tragic loss. So please hold on to that thought and know that God has your angel in his arms, until you see Mark again. God Bless you all! My prayers will continue for daily healing and peace someday.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember Mark, Mark and Preston from Boy Scouts. Such wonderful young men. Our hearts ache for your family.
