Patricia ANGSTROM Obituary

April 15, 1942 – June 29, 2025

Patricia "Pat" Angstrom passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. True to her independent spirit, she chose her final moments to be private and personal. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dave Angstrom, and is now reunited with him in heaven.

Born and raised in Wilbur, Washington, Pat met the love of her life, Dave, in her hometown. She earned her degree in Education from Washington State University, though her greatest joy came from being a homemaker and the heart of her family.

Pat's home was a sanctuary where time stood still, and love lived. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel included and part of the family. Her kitchen was always filled with fresh-baked snickerdoodles, homemade raspberry jam, applesauce, and her famous banana bread-no visitor ever left hungry.

She loved staying connected through legendary phone conversations, tending to the beautiful flowers that Dave planted for her each year, reading good books, and enjoying all things beauty-from getting her hair and nails done to shopping. Pat loved her family fiercely and was known for her sassy spirit and stubborn streak that made her the undisputed leader of the household. She wasn't afraid to voice her opinion, and her strong, loving presence will be deeply missed. Her pride in her children and grandchildren was boundless, and her legacy of love, warmth, and homemade treats will live on in all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons Wayne, Jeff, and Joel; and numerous grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sharing a favorite memory of Pat or baking something special for someone you love-just as she would have done.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 11th, at 11:00 am, at the cemetery in Wilbur, WA, followed by gathering for all interested friends and family at the Wilbur Lutheran Church.

Pat has been a part of my life longer than I can remember, having spent my first 7 years living around the corner from Pat and Dave, and regularly being cared for by Pat. After all, Joel and I were the last 2 to get to go to school, so I was over there a lot! I may have moved away 50 years ago, but some memories are so vivid, as if it were just yesterday.

Pat´s baking skills were legendary, but my very favorite snack at her house was always a peanut butter and homemade apricot jam sandwich after school, usually while watching Bewitched.

Pat will be missed by so many! I´m not sure how my mom Jenell will fill her late nights without those long calls with Pat.

I´m so sorry Wayne, Jeff, and Joel. Sending love from North Dakota.
