RIP Savage! Paul was a friend and a solid teammate of our 1967 college football team. When Paul hit you, you remembered the hit!! We will miss his smile and his friendship.

It was an honor to play football with Paul at Eastern. He was a great guard, a true friend and a fine person. So sorry.

We are saddened to learn of Paul´s passing. Paul was a great friend and teammate(No. 67) at Eastern Washington during the Dave Holmes´ era in the mid 60´s. No.67 was a teammate who truly loved the hitting and contact during football practice and games. During pre-game warmups at Joe Albi Stadium, he once hit a teammate so hard during form tackling warmup that he broke the teammate´s tooth. Afterwards, this teammate played the the whole game, not only dealing with the opposing team but with a bad toothache. No. 67 was never one to go less than a 100%. It was great catch-up with No. 67 recently when the EWU Athletic Department held a reunion of the Championship 1967 EWSC Football Team. Rest In peace No.67. You were one outstanding teammate and friend!
