Rachael ALLERT Obituary

ALLERT, Rachael Oct. 10, 1991 Feb. 12, 2021 Rachael Renee' Allert passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 12, 2021 after suffering a cerebral blood clot. Rachael was born October 10, 1991 in Spokane to Renee' and Jay Allert. She attended school at Liberty, Rosalia, and then graduated from St. John High School in 2010. Rachael was a gifted student with incredible talents. True to her life, she naturally offered to assist other students and had a true ability to do so. Her mind was creative and very able, which led her to pen many a novel drafts, though never reaching the next step of development, despite the urging of everyone who read them. It was a joy to see her light up while describing her amazing stories created in that beautiful mind. Rachael felt her true calling was a protector of those who needed protecting the underdogs of the world were her friends. She also loved all of God's creatures, from the largest to the smallest, and had that natural connection with animals that many do not experience. True to her character, Rachael chose to stay at home on their small farm to love, care for, and assist her mom and brother. They built a thriving "McDonald's farm" with creatures ranging from horses to chickens, to her dad's calves, and her dear Jersey milk cow "Cocoa". Rachael milked her morning and night and created delicious ice cream, butter, cream, and milk products. Her mind was always thinking of the next project or opportunity. Because of her beautiful mind, Rachael communicated well with others. The internet removed all boundaries for her and she has friends all over the world, many of whom she would mentor through her writing group chats. She had dreams of one day traveling to see them. Our dear Rachael has left us way too soon. However, she saw to it that her last chapter on this earth would be that perfect end all writers seek in their creations. Rachael chose to be an organ donor, and because of her incredible selflessness and generosity she is giving hope to five different families of a better life for their loved ones. We are eternally thankful to Rachael for giving us the gift of entering this special community of families to honor her life into the future. Rachael is survived by her mother, Renee' Allert; father, Jay (Sue) Allert; brother, Jayson Allert; grandmother, Mary Boyd; grandfather Rene (Connie) Charlebois; aunts and uncles, Suzanne (Red) Perry (Jessica and Jennifer); Bruce (Cindy) Allert; Wayne (Melani) Allert (Danielle and Denise); Dave (Vickie) Allert (Baylee and Tanner). She was preceded in death by her grandparents Kathleen and Maurice Allert. A celebration of Rachael's life will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Christian Life Assembly Church in St. John, with Pastor Dennis Hinds officiating, with Covid protocols respected. Rachael's burial will be Friday, February 19, 2021 at the St. John Cemetery. The family suggests donations in Rachael's honor to the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital or the charity of your choice. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is caring for the family.

Rachael was a wonderful person, always kind and welcoming and full of creative ideas. All these 4 years that I have known her online, she has been a great friend, full of positive and support. She always talked about her animals with great love and with the same love treated the stories that we wrote together. I will miss her very much. Rest in peace, my friend. My condolences to her family.

I'm one of Rachael's writing partners in the online community and she means a lot to me. We wrote together quite a bit and her presence made me happy and brought me joy in some of my worst times. She was a constant, kind, patient person that made me want to be better, to be more positive, and her kindness made my life so much better--

She was such a good friend. A constant that held me together when my own family died, even though she didn't know it. Thank you--thank you for sharing her with us, you know?

My condolences and my sincerest wish that you have God's comfort and loving embrace--my sincerest wish that you all have the kindness and patience in this time that she extended to me.

She was a wonderful, bright and intelligent person. It was a shock to hear she'd passed and while there is nothing I can say to ease that pain, I can say that I will miss her and seeing her bright presence in my life. She held such love and care for everyone she met. Whenever you spoke to her, you always felt like you were talking to her and not at her.

She may be gone but she will never be forgotten. God Bless.

Rachel was an incredible person, eternally positive and always ready to lend a helping hand, a willing ear, a sturdy shoulder on which to cry.

She was a delight to speak with, and she added a creative flair to everything she did. I knew her for the better part of two years, and consider myself very lucky to have done so.

Rest in peace, my friend. Your memory remains.

She was a real cool kind of person that I had the pleasure of knowing while we were talking online in a group chat. She once helped me when I was going through some emotional stuff in my life and I'm always grateful that she's willing to help out a friend when they need her. She will be missed and I want to say that to her family and relatives that she was a special person that I'm happy to have known. God bless and I pray for everyone to be able to cope with losing such a wonderful person. Rest in Peace Rachael. We already miss you so much.

Much like Rachel, be kind and be gentle.

I was one of her online friends. I didn’t even know her real name, but her friendship was one of the things that helped me out though the past year. I had a traumatic couple of years, and her friendship was one of the constant things in my life these past two years. She was a beautiful person, and very creative.

Rachael, I'm so so sorry I couldn't get to see you in person and hug you for all the times you comforted me during my darkest hours. Your love of God's creatures touched my soul and the world is better for having known you and your kindness. I am utterly crushed. You were an amazing girl. A fantastic friend. Your heart was filled with the sweetness from Heaven and it showed with your caring nature. I love you. Thank you for being my friend.
