Ramona E. Steele passed away March 4, 2011 in Cheney, WA. She was born April 22, 1923 in James-town, ND the daughter of Henry and Mamie (Dockstader) Aaby. Ramona married Daniel Lee Steele in 1946 and they resided in Spokane all their married life.
Mona was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Steele in 1982. She is survived by her children Gloria (Bruce) Arndt of Spokane Valley, Patricia (Fred) McGinnis of Cheney, Robert Steele of Spokane Valley and Glenn Steele of Spokane; grandchildren Sandra (Jason) Williams, Brenda Horner, Gordon Banks and Jennifer (Kevin Lavway) Merchant; and great-grandchildren Jacob Williams, Samuel Williams and Abagail Lavway. A short family graveside inurnment will be Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:30 and will be conducted at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane. A celebration of life will then be held at the home of Fred and Patty McGinnis, Cheney, WA from 4:30pm to 8:00pm. Please visit Mona's tribute and leave a condolence at www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.
