Rita SURIANO

Rita Suriano was 94 years old, born June 10, 1931. Our mom lived most of her life in Spokane, Washington. She lived a happy life with the love of her life, Angelo Suriano, who passed over three years ago. They were married 74 years.

Rita is survived by her four children, Paula Suriano, Ginger Suriano Myers, (Rich Myers), Carrie Suriano (Bob Hauge), Ken Suriano (Laura). She was blessed with four grandchildren, Tina Husman, (Rod Husman), Tony Suriano (Kandice Suriano) Jessica Suriano, and Jake Suriano. There are four great-grandchildren, Makayla Husman Suriano, Talon Suriano Husman, Conrad Woolway, Addalaide Woolway and Blake Kuykendall. She was preceded by her parents, Virginia and Domenico Damiani; and her siblings, Frank Damiani, Tony Damiani, Mary Damiani Fessler, Paul Suriano and Lucille Suriano.

She always balanced her life out perfectly between her home cooking, taking care of all of us, decorating, entertaining, crafting silk flowers, painting, crocheting and knitting. She took great pride in her home and how it was decorated. Bowling and pinochle were always fit in. She held jobs after raising her children. One at Columbia Cycle in Spokane, WA, in the crafts department and then as a receptionist at a State Farm agency in Spokane, WA.

Mom was given exceptional care the last year of her life at Fairwood Family Care Adult Family Home.

A Service for Rita Suriano will be Thursday, November 6, at 1:00 P.M., in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. Interment will be following the service at 2:00 P.M., at Fairmount Memorial Park. Online memorial page can be found at www.holycrossofspokane.org.
