Robert Chambers

CHAMBERS, Robert Allan May 3, 1948 - December 31, 2009 Robert Allan Chambers was born to Anne and Robert Chambers in Seattle, WA. Throughout his life places he lived included Seattle, So. CA, various Nevada locations including Reno, and Spokane, WA. He attended college at EWSC in Cheney, WA and graduated from Brigham YoungUniversity with a BA in Political Science in 1974. Robert was proud to serve his country as a Navy corpsman in the Vietnam War. Later, he worked at the Vets Admin., Reno, in medical claims. He was patriotic, an active Republican, and took his obligation seriously to participate in democracy through voting and community works. Rob was an Elder and active in the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, Manito Ward. He was a member of the St. Andrew's Society, Cameron Clan, Ham Radio groups, AFGE Labor Union, DAV, VVA, SAMS, and the Sons of the American Revolution. He was a descendent of Daniel Poorman, a private in the American Revolutionary War. Robert was a people person and had many lifelong friends. He loved classic cars, doo-wop, football and his family and friends. He shared much with friends Bart Daniels and Don Harmon (Reno area), Dixie Magers & Sandy White good friends in Utah, Stan and Bev Wills of Sprague, WA, as well as many others. Robert married Patricia, his wife of three years in Virginia City, NV and was a devoted, expressive husband, known for "claiming and proclaiming" his love for Patti to everyone he met, calling himself the "luckiest man", and Patti, his "Celtic Princess". He was also very dedicated and loving to his son, David, and stepdaughter Cindy. Robert died suddenly and unexpectedly at home Dec. 31 leaving a large hole in many lives. He leaves behind his wife Patricia who loves him dearly, his son David of whom he was very proud, and lovely stepdaughter Cindy. He is also survived by his mother Anne, sister Marsha(Farris), and brother Brian as well as other family and many dear friends. A memorial service celebrating Robert's life will be held Tuesday, January 12 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, 1620 E.29th Ave, Spokane, WA. Hennessey-Smith 2203 N.
