Robert DEWEY Obituary

DEWEY, Robert Michael (Age 63) Passed away on April 1, 2013 after a nine month battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Spokane and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1967. He worked many years in the grocery business before retiring from Western Rebar. He was a huge fan of The Beatles and a sports fan all around, especially of Jeff Gordon #24. He played softball and basketball for much of his life and enjoyed playing pinochle and cribbage. Robert was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed being with friends and family, listening to stories and his beloved Beatles. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Ada Dewey and his baby sister Mary Ethel. He is survived by his three children, Courtney Lascelles of Portland, OR, Colin Dewey (Kellie) and Kimberley Tritt (Mike), both of Spokane, his older brother James Dewey (Paula) of Corvallis, OR and younger sister Barbara Fortney (Mike) of Spokane. He was proud grandpa to Stephanie, Evan, Dawson, Destiny, Tyler, Gavin and Katie. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8 at Center Pointe, 1408 N. Washington with a reception immediately following at The Swinging Doors, 1018 W. Francis.
