Robert Louis HILL

1948 - 2021

Robert Louis Hill, age 73, passed away December 17, 2021, in Goodyear, AZ. He and his wife traveled to Arizona in hopes of qualifying for a double lung transplant. After three months of testing the transplant team was unable to perform the surgery due to other health complications. Louie continued to fight valiantly, but unfortunately, this journey came to an end with the aid of Hospice. The cause of death was Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Louie was born in Cincinnati, OH on September 18, 1948. He is survived by his wife Pegi of 48 years and three sons, Barry (Madeline), Drew, and Craig. He also has four grandchildren: Ethan, Cole, Ashton, and Annika. Louie worked in the insurance industry for 34 years retiring in 2007. The best thing he ever did!!! Louie enjoyed golfing with The Putts and Dots, skiing with the Mt. Spokane Prime Timers, Monday morning coffee with his friends John, Arly, Bob, and Bill, volunteering for Toys for Tots, hiking, and spending time with his family. Louie will always be remembered for his quick wit, congenial personality, even temperament, patience, and ability to arbitrate a claim with laughter. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

A celebration of his life is being planned in the Spokane area soon. Location and dates are being determined.
