Robert STAPLES Obituary

STAPLES, Robert F.,Sr. "Bob"
June 8,1945 - July 27, 2012

People who knew Bob knew of his history, activities and enjoyments in life. His most favorite role was that of being a parent to Samantha, Bobby, Lance and Lana, and of being a grandparent to Amber, Brianna, Jackie, Austin, Brady, Robert III, Hunter, Andrea, Maxwell, and Henry; great grandparent to Jace, Jemma, and Nolan. He also leaves behind his wife Sandy, a brother, two sisters, their spouses, children and grandchildren. Bob died after a year of fighting pancreatic cancer. Our family wishes to thank the staff of Rockwood Clinic Cancer Care Center, as well as the staff of Sacred Heart Medical Center for their excellent care. Many people loved Bob and he will be greatly missed.
A gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 3:00 pm at Bob and Sandy's residence. All friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.

I will miss you "Bad" Bob. You may not have realized it, but I found myself often thinking of you as a grandfather. You always had an adventure to overcome and were never afraid to get things a little dirty. I loved hanging out with you and Sandy every week all those summers back. Take care of yourself out there. I'll be by to shake your hand and play a nice joke one of these days far on so keep your powder dry.

The best wishes on your journey and much love to you,
Bryan Moody

Sandy and family, Audrey, Bud, Pam and families. Your "Nebraska" cousins are very sorry to hear of Bob's passing and his battle with cancer. It seems the distance has prevented us from being as close as we should be but we are glad to be members of your family. I'm very glad that I was at least able to "stop by" a couple of times in recent years to vist you and Bob. You always made us feel at home and I really appreciate the evening that Sue and I were able to spend with you, Bob, Audrey, Bud, and families. I really wish that we lived closer so we could spend more time together. I had always hoped that we could get everyone together somewhere "before" something like this happened. Sue and I will always remember your "bird" family and the fun that we had with them at your house, thanks again for your hospitality!! Know that we are thinking of you and everyone in the family during this diffcult time. It is comforting to know that you have great family support around you and please tell everyone hello for us. Our sincere condolences. Boyd and Sue Mitchell
