Rochelle SINGLETON Obituary

Rochelle Lee Singleton of Spokane Valley, WA, went to be with her Lord on October 9th 2023. She was born on March 20th, 196,0 in Tonasket, WA, to Darrel and Judy Bunch and was raised in Havillah, WA. After graduating from Eastern Washington University, she moved to Wenatchee, WA, where she met her husband, Kris Singleton. They married in 1986 and enjoyed 37 wonderful years of marriage together.

After 27 years in Wenatchee they moved to Spokane Valley in 2010 where Rochelle worked as the accountant for Meals on Wheels of Spokane Valley until her passing.

She was a loving, faithful, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was the glue of our family, an amazing cook and baker who loved to feed her family and in doing so, feed our souls. She made the warmest of homes with her hospitality, her big laugh, her love for gardening, and her sincere care for us. Her kids and grandchildren were what made her smile the most. She gave herself in every way possible to supporting, caring, encouraging, building-up, celebrating with, and nurturing her family. She enjoyed pinochle, sewing, quilting, reading, and getting pedicures.

Of most importance, she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She left us an eternal legacy in her faithfulness to Christ.

She is survived by her husband Kris Singleton, children Kyle Singleton, Laura Lewton, Thomas Singleton, and Nicole Holzer, her brother Jim Bunch, her sisters Teresa Johnson and Rebecca Bunch-Burdick, her mother Judy Bunch and her 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Darrel Bunch.

Thank you for all you did for us Shelly, we love you.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 11:00AM at Valley Bible Church, 3021 S. Sullivan Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99037.

I started working with Rochelle 8 weeks ago. When I began my new role at Greater Spokane Meals on Wheels I felt a little bit out of place. Rochelle was the warmest, kindest and most helpful person I have ever had the pleasure of being around. Rochelle would help me with my tasks without me asking, and was a vital part of our organization. The day she left to go on vacation with her family, I regret not giving her a big warm hug expressing my appreciation for her. Rochelle is someone I aspire to be more like. In our short time knowing each other, we became close work friends. I will never forget you, gorgeous!

I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Rochelle at GSC Meals on Wheels. Rochelle was a lovely person and a joy to know and work with. She was always smiling and laughing, and quick to help others. What I will remember most about Rochelle is her laugh. It was infectious! Whenever I think of Rochelle, I can´t help but see her smiling face, and that makes me smile. Rochelle was a gift to all whose life she touched.

Prayers and condolences to the entire family. So many wonderful memories growing up together. I wish I had known you had moved to Spokane, would have loved to have gotten together with you more. As it is I'll not be able to attend the service, as I'm in Havillah for a couple of weeks at moms, but send my hugs to you all especially Judy, who I hugged yesterday at church, Rebecca, Jim, Teresa, and extended family.
