Rodney DEITZ Obituary

Rodney passed away at 84 years old on 05/27/23 in the comfort of his home. He was born on 08/08/38 in Belfield, ND to Sheridan and Ruth Deitz. He grew up in Spokane, WA. He was a proud Lewis and Clark High School graduate and served in the military (Marines and Army) for 4 years. He retired from Spokane County as an electronics technician.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Eva Deitz, his 3 children, Jana Coe (Matt), Robert Deitz, and Lisa Deitz (Phil James), his 2 sisters, Connie LaLonde (Ron) and Judy Hall, and his 6 grandchildren: Sarah, Jacob, Katy, Taylor, Michael, and Cole.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leroy and sister Sharon.

Rodney enjoyed football, fishing, hockey, golf, singing & playing guitar, and dancing with his wife. He volunteered for 25 years for Spokane Youth Sports Association. Rod was loved and respected by his friends and his community.

The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice and Love in Home Senior Care for all their help.

Rodney lived his life by the following philosophy: "I may not always be right, but I'm never wrong."

I am so very sorry for your loss ! I knew your Dad for many years when I worked for Dr Gordon Decker. Rod always had a story, always made me laugh, and was such a sweet, kind man !
