Russell WILLIAMS Obituary

Russell D. Williams, 86 years of age passed on Friday, March 7th, 2025, at his home.

Russ was born September 8th, 1938, in Savage, MT, to the late Glenn D. and Ida Irene Williams. He was the youngest of five children; four preceded him in death, Harlen Williams, Evelyn Mooneyham, Erma Pollock, and Harold Williams.

Russ graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1956. His enchantment with speed began at an early age. His first vehicle was a '39 Oldsmobile at 15 years old that he upgraded with a V8 motor with best friend, Carol Irby.

In 1957, Russ married the late Nancy Kay Hern, and two children were born from this union, Terri Henry and Don Williams. The family moved from Lynnwood, WA, to Spokane, WA, in 1977.

In 1977, after moving to Spokane, Russ purchased McClintock & Turk, Inc. with John Pollock. He grew and led the company with hard-work, integrity, and an unparalleled commitment to excellence. His leadership and innovation made the company a cornerstone in the industry, and his legacy will live on in the countless projects that bear his mark. Russ was an example of unwavering dedication, still working at 86 years of age.

Russ later married Diana Arlt in 1986. Together, they shared a love for Priest Lake, ID, fishing, and a passion for travel. The two went on over 18 cruises to destinations around the world. Their favorite and most frequented vacation spot was Kauai, Hawaii.

As a father, Russ was a constant source of guidance, support, and love. His children were blessed with his wisdom and generous heart. As a grandfather and great-grandfather, he delighted in the next generations by imparting his knowledge, sharing stories, and creating cherished memories that will continue to inspire them for years to come. Russ grew up going to Priest Lake, ID, and in 1980, purchased a cabin to share with his family.

His innate love for speed carried through to planes, cars, and boats. Russ acquired his private pilot's license in 1984, and when Russ was in his twenties, he was building and racing hydroplanes. He raced "Vagabond," "Nick's Trick," and "One More Time." He rebuilt and restored five collector cars in his spare time, which was one of his favorite hobbies. Russ's top pick of the five was his 1965 Ford Cobra that he began work on in '99.

Russ leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Diana Williams; children: Terri Henry and Don Williams; four grandchildren: Brandon Henry (Jaclyn), Kailin Clausen (Luke), Blake Williams, and Sarah Williams; five great-grandchildren: Dawson Henry and Paige Henry, Stella Clausen, Adaline Bennett, and Ember Bennett; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. His legacy of love, strength, and adventure will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
