LEE, Ruth Ann
Nov 8, 2025
Ruth Ann Lee, 83, passed away on November 8, 2025. She was the widow of Clayton D. Lee, having shared 44 years of marriage before he passed away in May 2025.
Born in Spokane, Washington, Ruth graced us with her presence on October 19, 1942.
She was the second daughter born to Andrew and Justine Ackerman, joining her older sister, Betty, and then later the middle daughter when her younger sister, Linda, was born.
Ruth drove a school bus for many years and eventually went to work for STA, retiring from there after 21 years.
Upon retiring, Ruth decided she didn't want to be a "city girl" anymore, so she and Clayton then bought some land and moved near Newport, Washington. After living there for a few years, they decided to slow down a bit, so they moved to Loon Lake. She and Clayton enjoyed attending church, sharing their faith, meeting friends, and going out for an early dinner afterwards, until Clayton passed.
In her spare time, Ruth had quite a few hobbies which included camping, fishing, sewing, knitting, and let's not forget belly dancing! Another passion of Ruth's was typing letters. She kept in constant contact throughout the years with her two lifelong friends, Judy LockBeam and Charlotte Curtis.
Anyone who knew Ruth knew what a chatty girl she was, and thank heaven for that, because that's how she met and became good friends with her neighbor, Diane Rosales. They shared dinners, stories, lots of laughs, and loved to play Bingo together.
Ruth is survived by her cat, Autumn; three sons, Michael (Mary) Hall, Faron (Janice) Hall, and Preston Hall; her five granddaughters, Deanna (Bryan) Alexander, Desirae (Jake) Arrotta, Jordan (Jesse) Llewellyn, Alexandra Hall, and Caitlin (Tyler) Hansen; and great-grandchildren, Landyn Miller, Brooklyn Miller, Judah Hansen, and Ophelia Hansen. She also leaves behind numerous cousins from Texas and their families, as well as her brother-in-law, Bob; and niece, Jenny Sauter.
The graveside service will be held on November 25, at 10:00 am, at Riverside Memorial Park, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane, Washington 99224. Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral & Cremation at 9:00 am, prior to the service.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to: Teen Challenge 2400 N. Craig Rd., Spokane, Washington 99224, or Union Gospel Mission, 1224 E. Trent Ave., Spokane, Washington 99202.
