Scott PEARSON Obituary

Scott W. Pearson, cherished husband, devoted father, beloved grandfather, and dear brother, peacefully passed away on May 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Scott was born on February 6, 1954, to Patricia and Roy Pearson in Spokane, WA. He completed his education at Central Valley High School in 1972 and later pursued higher education at WSU, graduating in 1976. Scott embarked on his professional journey in Seattle, WA, returning to Spokane to dedicate 49 years of his life to the insurance business. Eventually, he became the proud owner of Northwest Insurance Brokers until his passing. Scott's commitment to his work was unwavering, and his clients held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Scott found joy in sports, particularly indulging his passion for hunting, fishing, and golf, where his skill was unmatched. He delighted in recounting his adventures working in Alaska during the summer months. Moreover, he found solace and contentment in spending time in his yard, nurturing the beauty of nature around him.

Scott's life was beautifully intertwined with that of his junior high school sweetheart, Susan M. Pearson, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. His devotion to his role as a husband and father was evident in every aspect of his life, and his absence will be profoundly felt by his family and friends.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Roy Pearson; and brother, Steve Pearson; and is survived by his loving wife, Susan M. Pearson; his children, Jay Pearson and Ashley Pearson; his granddaughter, Taylor Pearson; as well as his brother, Rick Pearson (Jeannie Pearson).

A memorial service to honor Scott's life will occur at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, on July 19 at 2:30 pm, followed by a reception. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Spokane for their care and support.

In remembrance of Scott's life and love, the family kindly requests that any charitable donations be made to The Cancer Society or Hospice of Spokane in lieu of flowers.

Scott and I were schoolmates and played football and basketball together at CV. He was an awesome basketball player and I was always jealous of his golfing skills.
I'm pleased we had a chance to talk at the 50 year reunion. Rest in peace Scott and God bless you Sue.
