Scott ROLLER Obituary

March 11, 1964 - October 28, 2023

Spokane - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Wesley Roller on Oct. 28, 2023. He was born in Los Angeles, CA, to William "Jim" and Loretta Roller, joining big brother, Steve and adding Bryan a few years later. He moved with his family to the west side of Washington, where he spent the entirety of his youth, graduating from Newport H.S. in 1982. He continued his education at the University of Washington, finishing his degree at Washington State University. He then moved to Spokane and eventually started his own business- Rollers Painting. He met Cindy Bowen in 1998, and they welcomed their son, Gabriel in Dec. of 1999. They married in April of 2000, adding Josh Bowen as his very much loved stepson. Jaimie joined the family in Jan. 2002 to complete the family. Although they divorced in 2023, they remained close and continued to share in their children's lives.

Scott was known for his love of all things "Volkswagen "- owning and restoring his '67 for the past few years. He had many life-long friendships, since early grade school, especially Tom Green, Sean O'Brien, and Dave Bradley. Their yearly motorcycle trips (known as the Freedom Tours) were always epic adventures, as well as their yearly get togethers at Guemes Island, relaxing and crabbing with the guys.

His love of skiing was a passion instilled by his parents, with many trips to Whistler, BC. He tried to pass this passion on to his kids (not a total success). But he never stopped skiing, faithfully buying that season pass every year and making sure he made enough runs for it to pay for itself.

Saturday nights usually found him singing karaoke with his many friends at the Studio K. He did love singing!

Scott is survived by his kids, stepson, Josh Bowen of Spokane, Gabriel Roller of Spokane, Jaimie Roller of Friday Harbor, and Cindy Roller of Spokane; grandson, Sean Bowen of Fernley, NV, (who he loved deeply and was so proud of!); and brothers, Steve (Helen) of Kirkland, WA, and Bryan (Diane) of Kent, WA.

A memorial celebration will be held November 11th at the San Souci West clubhouse (3231 W Boone) from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any mental health center of your choice.

I remember the good times at the Pear Tree Inn singing karaoke and visiting Scott and Cindy at their home.
When i had construction issues he was my first call.
You will be missed Scott.
