Sharon Ann ANTHONY Obituary

ANTHONY, Sharon Ann Nov 18, 1942 - Dec 5, 2025 Sharon Anthony née Larson passed away December 5, 2025, at her home in Kent, Washington, with her family at her side, after a long illness. Sharon was born in Spokane on November 18, 1942, to Charles and Maxine Franks (Wright). Sharon graduated from North Central High School and Pacific Lutheran University. In her teenage years, Sharon took the last name of her stepdad Everett Larson. Sharon married Bruce Anthony in June of 1966. The couple then moved to Burien where they both taught school for one year, before returning to Spokane. They had recently moved to Kent, Washington. Sharon remained active with a young family. She later went back to work as an information telephone operator, at the company known then as US West, previously Pacific Northwest Bell, and continued to work there from the late 1980's until her retirement. Sharon had a lifelong commitment to supporting her church and local service organizations, including Vanessa Behan, the Spokane Guild School, and Ogden Hall, as well as organizations abroad that benefit women and children in crisis. Her hobbies included quilting and sewing for service organizations as well as family and friends. Sharon leaves behind her husband, Bruce, her daughters Mary Ann Anthony and Susan Monteith, her sons Paul Anthony (Mary), Eric Anthony (Hallie), and David Anthony (Ainsley); her brother Gary Larson (Lori), nine grandchildren: Colleen, Catherine and John Anthony; Stefan, Douglas and Ian Anthony; Elizabeth, Sophie and Christopher Monteith; niece LoriAnne Hudson (Kyle) and nephew Rhett Larson (Mariela); great-niece Tenley Hudson and great-nephews Avery Hudson and Javi Larson. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 11, at 2:00 pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Spokane, preceded by private burial. Arrangements by Hennesey Funeral Home.
