Sharon PAULUS Obituary

May 26, 1943 - June 30, 2025

Sherry, a businesswoman and entrepreneur was born Sharon Elizabeth Menke in Garrison, North Dakota, on May 26, 1943. When she was two, she moved with her family to Spokane, where she had many fond memories of her childhood.

Sherry graduated from Roger's High School, where she met her future husband while working on the school newspaper. She enjoyed interviewing students on campus, and writing for the Roger's paper. During that time, President John F. Kennedy came to the area and Sherry was fortunate enough to interview him! After high school, Sherry went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Bill Haines, and have two children, Anna and Mike.

Sherry was a Realtor and Entrepreneur, buying and selling homes and rentals. She was very proud of building her home on Peone Prairie and never got tired of the views. She also enjoyed hosting family and friends at her home on Diamond Lake. Sherry loved watching sports, especially Gonzaga basketball games, and was famous for her Superbowl parties. She taught her children perseverance, hard work, and a never give up attitude. As a mother and grandmother, she loved watching her kids and grandchildren, Jenna, Sarah, Lauren and Hunter, in their sports and activities. She was always a positive influence and encouraged her family to do their best. Later in life, Sherry enjoyed RVing and traveling around the western US.

Sherry is survived by her children, Anna (Bobby) Brockly, Mike (Julie) Haines; and grandchildren, Jenna, Sarah, Lauren and Hunter; and her nieces and nephew. A memorial service will occur at a later date.
