Shell BELSBY Obituary

Shell "Ole" Osborne Belsby was born on August 17th, 1944 in Spokane Washington and passed away on June 15th, 2021 in his residence outside Cheney, WA.

He was 76 years of age when he lost his battle to Parkinson's disease. The youngest of 6 children and a father figure of two adolescents, Ole is survived by his wife Mary, two children Will and Elizabeth, two grandchildren Bronin and Rilas, and his siblings Donel, Arne, Gary and Nancy Belsby.

Ole, who was a Cheney local, graduated in 1961 and went on to study at Reedley college in California before serving for 3 years in the national guard. After being granted an honorable discharge he returned home to his family's farming and ranching business where he spent the remainder of his life working the land. He was an avid lover of reading, basketball and animals, a devout seventh-day Adventist and an active participant in local community service.

A celebration of life service will be held on July 17th at 3:30 pm at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 828 W. Spofford Ave. Spokane, WA 99205. The service will be followed by a potluck. Please feel free to bring a dish if attending.

I am so sorry Ole has passed--such a great guy. I spent many hours out at the ranch when we were all much younger--high school. Condolences to his family.
