Suzanne BARTON Obituary

September 21, 1933 - May 12, 2024

Spokane - Suzanne Barton passed away on Mother's Day, May 12, 2024, at the age of 90 in her home, surrounded by love. She was born and raised in Spokane. She was the heart of our family, full of love, laughter, and resilience; she touched the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Barton; and her two sons, Evan and Todd. She is survived by her two daughters, Shelley and Hilary (husband Chris); 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She loved playing bridge with her friends and watching The Price is Right with her grandson, Brian. Words cannot describe what a wonderful mother she was, she truly was an angel and she loved unconditionally. Mom, you are my sunshine. Love, Hilary.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Horizon Hospice who supported us until the end. We couldn't have made it through without you.

A memorial will be held outside at Fairmont Memorial Park on Saturday, June 1, at 2:30pm, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave.

We celebrate the beautiful life Sharon on what would have been her birthday coming up, 9/21. Her warmth, kindness, and love continue to shine brightly in her loved one's hearts, a lasting legacy that time can never dim. Though she may no longer be with them, her spirit lives on in every memory and feeling of love my dearest friend feels. Riposa in Pace.

Dear Hilary,

I am so sorry to hear about your mother´s passing. She was truly a wonderful woman.
I have such fond memories of her growing up. She was so kind, friendly and beautiful.
I want you to know that you have my very deepest sympathy.
Those we love don´t go away they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
I pray you find peace and comfort in your heart as you mourn for your loved ones!

I chose today for the day I was gonna call you and tell you how my life has changed for the better. I am crushed to find out I was too late! You were the Mom that mine wasn´t! You loved me even when I didn´t deserve your love! I´ve had a lot of loss but this one absolutely hurts the worst. You will always be missed! I will see you Mom, and Dad in heaven...I love you so much!
