Ted MONAHAN Obituary

Ted was born on February 7, 1975, and passed away unexpectedly from a blood clot that formed in his heart on March 27, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. He passed away while his wife, Christine, was hospitalized with cancer. Ted will forever be in our hearts.

Ted grew up in Spokane and graduated from Ferris High school. Ted and his wife Christine West were married for 15 years on July 10, 2010, together for 25 years.

Ted worked in the construction field, primarily in roofing and siding. He owned a roofing business for several years and was known as an expert roofer with great attention to detail.

Ted was known for his ready smile, kind heart and humble demeanor, he was always willing to help friends and others in need. Ted loved and cared deeply for pets and all animals, especially his beloved dog Buddy. Ted and Christine were primary in caring for nephew Dominik and enjoyed many fun experiences with him. They lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter and adventures.

Ted spent summers at his beloved cabin at Bead Lake, WA enjoying boating, fishing, hunting and time with Christine and his family. As a child, he had fond memories of hunting trips, fishing and other sports spent with his father Mike and brother Tom. Ted was passionate about music and enjoyed attending concerts. He was a talented piano player since early childhood. Ted was an excellent skier often skied at his favorite mountain, Silver Mountain.

Ted's precious wife, Christine passed on 5/24/25 from cancer. He leaves behind his mom, Diane; stepdad, Flash Gibson; siblings, Tom (Jen), Megan (Steve), Molly, niece Michaela; many family members; his best friend, Michael Cannon; and many close friends. Ted was preceded in death by his dad, Michael Monahan; and grandparents, Pat and Ken Duncan.

A memorial service for Christine and Ted will be held on Saturday, June 28th, at 11 a.m., 10405 W. Melville Road, Cheney, WA.

Rest in peace cousin Ted's. I never got to tell you your green eyes came from your great-grandpa Glenn Charlie Rogers (Grandma Betty's dad).

My favorite memory is a picture on the deck at my house. Grandma Betty squatting down, holding her precious Grandchildren. Ted (2), Tom (3), and Tricia (3). So much love in that picture.
