Terri VANHOFF Obituary

February 26, 1956 – February 6, 2022

On February 6, 2022, Terri Jean Vanhoff passed away at age 65 after a short illness. She died at Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane, Washington. She is survived by her mother, Beryl Herring, her stepmother, Marian Vanhoff, her brother, Brad Vanhoff (Leslie), her nephew Matthew Diotte, niece Nicole Coughlin (Shannon), and grandniece Isla. She was preceded in death by her sister, Debbi Diotte, her father, Harold Vanhoff, and her stepfather, Bill Herring.

Terri was born cesarean on February 26, 1956 in Spokane. She was the youngest of three children. Growing up, she was full of life, loved to play games with her older brother, especially with toy cars and trucks. She attended Grant Elementary School in Spokane, and high school with her siblings at Lewis and Clark High School. She had a beautiful voice, and sang several solos in her youth, including "Bridge Over Troubled Water" at her own graduation.

She met Dennis Campbell while working at Skaggs Automotive and that turned into a long-term relationship. After a number of years together, they married and that made Terri very happy. She and her husband bought a house in the Nevada-Lidgerwood neighborhood in Spokane. Ultimately, their marriage ended in divorce.

Terri had a long career at Skaggs Automotive Parts before moving on to a successful career with Credit Union Support Services and finally at Spokane Federal Credit Union.

Terri lived the last of her years in a darling cottage full of antiques. She collected old furniture, radios, and family memorabilia.

Terri had a great sense of humor with an infectious laugh, was full of love for everyone, and could be the life of any party. She loved all animals, but Terri really loved her cats. She loved to cook, especially baking, and she made the best potato salad!

Terri is remembered with fondness and love, and her family and friends miss her dearly.
