Theodore BAKER Obituary
Spokane - Theodore M. Baker, "Ted," passed away on February 18, 2025, due to natural causes. He was born and raised in Spokane, WA, where he built a life filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories.
Ted worked at Avista (formerly Washington Water Power) for 21 years, where he was involved in Title work and Real Estate during his career. Outside of work, he found joy in playing in pool leagues at the Season Ticket, riding and collecting Harley-Davidson motorcycles and memorabilia, playing the guitar, and traveling and camping with loved ones. Above all, Ted was a master at memory-making and loved deeply.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Baker; his children, Aaron Baker, Elise Sletager, and Katelyn Baker; and his grandchildren, Samantha Baker, Nicholas Baker, Tabitha Baker, Kameron Sletager, and Kiley Sletager. He is also survived by his brother, Roy Lancaster. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Mary Baker; and his sisters, Trudy Pratt and Barbara ("Bobby") Baker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at The Black Diamond (9614 E. Sprague Ave., Spokane Valley, WA 99206), at 2pm. Please RSVP to [email protected] so we can get a headcount and provide updates.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Ted's generous spirit, please pay it forward-buy a stranger's coffee, cover someone's groceries, leave an extra tip, help a neighbor, or perform a random act of kindness.

Good friend of my Brother Jerry Riggs, always called him Teddy! Jerry died October 7, 2024. They were good friends when all of us were growing up! Hopefully my brother's wife Becky and I can come to Teddy's celebration of life in June. Miss you two little stinkers!!

Dear uncle TED, this is your niece. Lisa, you were always just the sweetest man.With the biggest heart. I know my mom. We'll be waiting for you and so happy to see you in the next part of your journey. You'll be greatly missed by all of us here. But you're one more face, We have to look forward to greetin g us when we extend on to that next journey yourself.
