Thomas Michael STROMBERGER

1950 - 2023

Thomas Michael Stromberger of Spokane, WA, passed away on November 3, 2022, at the age of 72. He suffered from a rare blood disorder and is finally free from pain and in Heaven with his Lord and Savior. Tom was born on March 3, 1950, in Colfax, WA, to Daniel and Cynthia Jean Stromberger.

Tom grew up working on the family farm in Lamont, WA, where he attended grades K-12 at the Lamont School and graduated in 1968. He was musically gifted and played many instruments. He graduated from Spokane Falls Community College with an Associate Degree in Music in 1970. Tom owned a fuel company in Lamont and made his way to Spokane where he worked for Kaiser Aluminum in the potroom and as Maintenance Foreman until retirement.

Tom had a very creative mind and was an inventor and a "MacGyver". His philosophy was, "There has to be a better way!" He was proud of his patent for the self-lighting pellet stove and the invention of the "Sniffer" which was used to improve efficiency at Kaiser Aluminum.

One of Tom's greatest joys was helping his family, friends, and neighbors in any way he could. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh, which he held until his last days.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his older brother, Tim (Arlene); and younger siblings, Bill (Janet), and Nancy (Eldon) Wecker; along with his four children and six grandchildren, Daniel (Janessa), their children Rhett and Dean; Angela and her daughter Melanie; Michael (Nicole), their children Taylor and John; Eric (Stephanie) and their son Jack. Tom is greatly missed by his family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Lamont Community Building in Lamont, WA, on June 17, 2023.
