August 27, 1946 - April 2, 2025
Spokane Valley - Vicki Pamela Nelson Kaiser, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 78.
Born in Spokane, Washington, on August 27, 1946, Vicki lived a life filled with kindness, creativity, and deep devotion to those she loved. She spent her early years in Edwall, and Spokane, before settling in the Spokane Valley, where she raised her family and built a warm, welcoming home.
Vicki graduated from North Central High School and later studied medical transcription at Spokane Community College. Over the years, she worked in a variety of fields including library services, insurance, banking, and for Eastern Washington University. She especially cherished her time in the insurance field, where she formed many lifelong friendships.
In May 1967, she married Neil Kaiser, whom she met through her sister, Sandi, and brother-in-law, Phil. Together, they built a loving family rooted in tradition, laughter, and shared adventures.
Vicki had a gift for bringing people together. Her home was the heart of countless holiday gatherings - Thanksgivings filled with homemade pies, Christmases brimming with joy, and summertime BBQs that created lifelong memories. She loved the outdoors, especially camping, four-wheeling, and visiting fire lookout towers with her husband.
Above all, Vicki adored her family. She is survived by her children, Holly Kaiser, James Kaiser (Jamie Hubbard Kaiser); and grandchildren, Jess Kaiser and Emily Kaiser. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Sandra Nelson Naff (Phil Naff) and Michelle Nelson Dahle (Charles Dahle); sister-in-law, Anita Kaiser Voliva; brother-in-law, Richard Guy; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who brought her immense pride and joy.
Vicki's other constant companions were her beloved cats, who she lovingly referred to as her "kids." Her gentle spirit and loving heart extended to every living thing she cared for.
Vicki's legacy is one of love, creativity, and deep family connection. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A celebration of life will be held on August 24, from 12-2pm, at Trailbreakers in Liberty Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Vicki's name to a local animal shelter or
charity of choice.
