Vincent TRAPP Obituary

Vincent Trapp died on October 11, 2025, at age 90. He was married to Barbara Walker Trapp for 67 years who passed in 2024. He was the son of Marvin and Eleanor Painter Trapp; the brother of O.E. and Steve Trapp; and the father to Gwenn Trapp Wallace (David) and Michael Trapp. He was a grandfather to Olivia Garner, Eric Wallace, and Scott Wallace. He was also a great grandfather.

Vincent Trapp attended Grant Elementary School, Lewis & Clark High School, and Washington State College. While at Washington State, he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He spent 30 years in the United States Army Reserve reaching the rank of Colonel culminating with the position of Commandant of the U.S. Army Reserve School in Spokane. His professional work career was in insurance claims. Vincent was a passionate runner completing three marathons. He also enjoyed hiking and other outdoor activities including kayaking with his wife Barbara at Newmann Lake where they had a cabin for decades.

At Vincent's request, there will be no memorial service. Contributions at Morning Star Boy's Ranch will be accepted at morningstarboysranch.com.

I knew Vince and Barbara for many years. I was their next door neighbor. I had the utmost respect for them and they were the kind of neighbors that anyone would appreciate. They were just fine people. May they rest in peace. My condolences to the family.
