William Baines Obituary

Baines, William Paul
February 25, 1949 - November 10, 2025
William "Paul" Baines was born on Feb. 25th, 1949, in Omak, Washington, to William and Paula Baines and passed away on Nov. 10th, in Suprise, Arizona. His death was a result of complications from Parkinson's disease. A memorial will be held on December 6th, at the Reardan High School Commons, at 2:00. Paul is survived by his wife, Barbara (Senter) Baines of 31 years; and his son, Chase. Paul graduated from Omak High School and received a bachelor's degree in business from WSU. His career, however, was working with young adults and began as a youth counselor at Naselle Youth Camp and transferred to Spokane County Juvenile Court, where he retired after 30 years at the age of 53. Retirement suited him well as he enjoyed many hobbies and taking care of his son. Over the years, Paul enjoyed playing many sports, including baseball, tennis, basketball and golf. He participated in Hoopfest for several years and enjoyed watching his favorite home team the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Paul had a passion for cars and restored several over the years, as well as restoring two vintage trailers. He and Barbara never tired of working together on many home improvement projects, watching sports and spending time with their son. Paul was a loving and kind man who will be missed by his many friends and family.
