William "Bill" Lester Weger, 77, of Deer Park, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2025. Born June 7, 1948, Bill was a man who built his life around loyalty, to his family, to his friends, and to his Cougs.
Bill shared many cherished years with his significant other, Kathy Knudsvig. He is also survived by his sisters, Barb Barrier and Paula (and Eldon) Umbach, who held a lifelong bond with him.
Bill's love for WSU Cougar football was one of his greatest joys. Saturdays were for cheering, gathering, and celebrating with those around him. His other passion, barbecue, brought people together, whether it was a big family gathering or a quiet afternoon with a few loved ones.
He leaves behind a family that spanned generations and meant everything to him:
Jolynn Sicilia - grandchildren Lacey, Luke, Sarah; great-grandchildren Oliver, Lola, Carol, Vinny, Denio.
Wendy and Bill Hickman - grandchildren Buck, Tuffy, Amy; great-grandchildren Houston, Cashner.
Gus and Michelle Knudsvig - grandchildren Corey, Curry, Scott, Connor, Connor, Cameron, Caden ("Bug"); great-grandchild Alaina.
Todd and Melinda Weger - grandchildren Riley, Jocelyn, Mya, Ari.
Trevor Weger and Lindsay Arries - grandchildren Makayla, Jacoby, Jukka, Rykker.
Bill will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and steadfast love. His influence will continue to be felt through the generations he leaves behind.
Memorial service information will be announced at a later time.
