Charles "Chuck" Haynes, age 74, of Spooner, WI, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Spooner Health.
Chuck was born on March 4, 1949, in Frederic, WI, to parents, Harold and Verginia (Witteck) Haynes. Chuck was raised in the Spooner area and graduated from Spooner High School. After graduation, Chuck joined the US Navy and served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger (CV-61). After his military service, he came back to the Spooner area and worked in various jobs until he settled into a position at the United States Postal Service, where he worked until his retirement in 2007.
Chuck was a member of the Spooner Wesleyan Church for many years. He had a passion for golf that started in high school and he continued throughout his life. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting and joined horseshoe and dart leagues.
Chuck is survived by his sister, Debbie (Terry) McCutcheon; and nieces and nephews, Kyle McCutcheon, Ryan McCutcheon, Kayce Engen, Chris Haynes, Brian Haynes, Matt Haynes and Valerie Haynes.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dick Haynes.
