Gregory Scott Bennett died September 16, 2022. He was born May 18, 1952, in Superior, WI, to Charles R. and Betty C. (Tyson) Bennett.
Shortly after graduating from Shell Lake High School, he enlisted into the United States Air Force and served four years.
Upon returning home, Greg spent many years working as an over-the-road trucker. No matter how long he was out on the road, every chance he got to spend with his family was a treasure. Greg had a special bond with his great-nephew Tyler.
He loved his Green Bay Packers even though he lived in Indiana. Greg enjoyed spending his free time fishing, on his computer and reading old westerns.
He is survived by his siblings: Sue McFarlane of Shell Lake, John Bennett of Groton, CT, Marsha (Tim) Rang of Glidden, WI, and William (Rande) Bennett of Groton, CT; nieces and nephews: Mickee (Rory) Latz, Rick Thomas, Laura Bennett and Sara (Tom) Bennett; great-nieces and nephews: Tyler Latz, Emma Thomas, Grace Thomas and Jacob Latz. Greg was preceded in death by parents: Charles Bennett and Betty (Toge) Thompson; brother-in-law, Alan McFarlane; and sister-in-law, Linda Bennett.
A private service will be held at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
