Mark David Lindell, 51, died July 24, 2022, at his home in Forest Lake, MN. He was born June 27, 1971, in Owatonna, MN, the son of David C. and Pauline Lindell-Nelson. Mark married Chrystal Albrect in 1998 on his golden birthday, and they were divorced in 2012.
Mark graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. His career was in the network engineering field.
Mark was an avid golfer. Starting with old, sawed-off wood shaft clubs at age 5, he was in the Owatonna High School Golf Club, Orchestra and Basketball Teams. After college, he was lucky enough to catch an 11-pound walleye and shoot a 10-point buck (both mounted). His luck went over to a favorite game of his, cribbage, and he scored the "perfect 29."
Mark was preceded in death by his father, David, who died only 10 months earlier. Also preceding him were his grandparents, his only uncles and their wives.
Mark is survived by his three sons, Nathaniel, 20, Zachary, 19, and Michael, 16, of Two Harbors, MN, who were adopted from Guatemala as babies. Also surviving Mark is his mother, Pauline Lindell-Nelson, and her husband, John Nelson, of Spooner, WI, Mark's former wife, Chrystal Reinhart, and her husband, Jason, of Two Harbors, MN, and seven cousins: Ron, Peg, Bruce, Tyanne, Myla, Scott and Stacy
Mark spent 2-3 days every other weekend and summer and holidays with his sons. Two of his sons, Nathaniel and Zachary, graduated from high school in 2022. Nathaniel is entering the Army National Guard and Zachary is starting college at Iowa State. His third son, Michael, is still in high school in Two Harbors.
Mark went way too young and will be very sadly missed by us all.
A small family service is being planned.
