News Death Notice
COONS, Anna Marie age 18, was born October 13, 1991 in Springfield, OH. I departed this time-world on Sunday, March 21, 2010 as a result of an accident involving my horse, Hannah. Because of my age you may think that my life was too brief, but although my days were few, they were the exact number God meant for them to be. My Dad and Mom, Joe and Joanne (Jenkins) Coons, have always been there for me and my siblings. I have three brothers; Samuel, Joel, and Josh; and one younger sister, Abilgail, "Abby". Because of the love from my family and the closeness we shared, there has never been a happier or richer person than me. I am truly blessed and I will greatly miss them! My family has been my continual source of encouragement and strength. The Christ-centered guiding influence of my parents established Godly principles in our home. By example, I learned that strong Christian character and deep family love are of greater worth than any material blessings. The security of their love for God led me to become a Christian at a young age and to develop a deep personal Father-Daughter relationship with my heavenly Father. This relationship has been the hub of my life and the source of my joy. I was an active participant of the New Covenant Church of God, where I gathered with Christian family and friends whom I love dearly. Thank you all for your support. I appreciate you listening to my problems, accepting my insight and for your constant words of encouragement and comfort. It has really paid off. I know I'll be seeing you again some day! I worked at Oakwood Village where I helped the residents with activities and served their meals. I really didn't consider this a job, but rather a privilege and a joy. Not many people get paid for doing what they love!! I will really miss the residents and staff members. This was to be a very eventful year for me. I was about to graduate from home school. Thanks Mom. You did a tremendous job. My fiancée, Kenny Copley, and I were going to get married in October. Kenny, you are everything I ever dreamed of; kind, loving, smart, and handsome. You are also a musician like my Dad and above all you are a dedicated Christian. You are my first and only love; the love that will always remain in my heart. Only God could have sent you into my life. Thanks for being there for me. I also have a loving, caring extended family: grandparents Jim and Carolyn Jenkins and grandpa David Coons; great grandmother, Jane Moore; several aunts and uncles, Tom and Joellen Zimmerman, Jim and Mary Jenkins, Michael and Angie Coons, Chris Coons; my cousins Matthew, Jeremy, Patrick, Steven, Ginny, Tory, Tess, and Jesse. My Aunt Marie and Uncle Arthur have been very special to me as well. I have been blessed with many distant relatives and numerous loving friends. My grandma Rita Coons is deceased. Finally, to all my family, friends and co-workers, I want you to come together and celebrate my life and comfort one another. My family will receive you from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at JACKSON LYTLE & INGLING WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME- Springfield. My Life Celebration service will begin at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the same location. Condolences may be sent to my family at www.jacksonlytle.com. Our hearts go out to you in the great loss of your beautiful daughter. We know to well the grief that comes in losing a child. Our son also was a senior in high school and was killed by a careless driver. God will have to carry you in the days and years ahead. There will be days you wonder how did I make it through. Hey Girly, I know how much i miss you, but that was so little in compared to how much almost the enitre world does. Your candle was put out and that makes a huge difference in the way the world shines. You should have seen how many people where there durring your funeral...crazy...like 150 cars behind you...and oh my goodness, i can't even tell you how many people where there durring the layout (showing lol, insane!! you would have loved it! and everyone got to see all of your drawings. and all the stuff of you and Kenny. Well, miss you!

I remember the first time I met Anna, she had just finished serving dinner to the residents at Oakwood and she allowed me to help myself to a piece of pie. We struck up an instant conversation about her family, school her love of animals and gardening, a passion we both shared. I had thought up to that point that she was such a quiet girl, but not that day. I was struck by how pure her heart seemed to be and how much she really loved her life. I thought to myself what an extraordinary family she must have the way she speaks of them and that her family must be so proud. Anna you were blessed in life and now in heaven. Anna was a special girl. She was so caring and gentle with the residents, Anna always had a smile. She genuinely cared for everyone. She was an amazing person to interact with. We all miss you Anna. But your in a better place. I miss you so much. Even though we did not hang out much. It still hurts to think of you. R.I.P. I miss you SO much. :'(

I know many say "she is in a better place", which is true, seeing Jesus must have been amazing! But that doesn't stop the hurting in your heart and make your loss any easier. I pray for comfort and peace for you and your family. (my children attend NWES) TI pray the love of Christ fill you to overflowing.
