News Death Notice
McLAUGHLIN, Anthony D. "Tony" 41, of Urbana, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2010. He was born June 28, 1968 in Urbana, a son of Charles and Sue (Blair) McLaughlin. Tony graduated from Grace Baptist Academy in 1986 and was a member of Myrtle Tree Baptist Church, had worked at A P Technoglass and Johnson Manufacturing Company. Tony leaves wife Nila Randall whom he married on December 31, 1997, sons, Darryl Randall of Springfield and Brad Randall of West Liberty, his parents, sister, Nicole Clyburn of Urbana. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dixie and Curtis Blair, paternal grandparents, Dick & Doris McLaughlin and several aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends 3:00 8:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main Street, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, March 4, 2010 in the Faith Fellowship Church, 236 Bloomfield Avenue, Urbana, with Rev. Roger Childers officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held in Faith Fellowship Church following the services, please dress casually, as Tony would want. Memorial contributions may be made in Tonys memory to PAWS Animal Shelter, 1535 W. US Hwy 36, Urbana, OH 43078.

So sorry to hear of Tony's passing. He was a very close friend of mine in high school. He was a very kind and giving person, and was never afraid to be himself. Regretfully, we lost touch over the years, but I will always remember him.

Nila, I am so sorry. Tony was such a good guy. I missed seeing and talking with him after I lost Molly. He was so good with her. Perhaps they can visit again now.

Nila, we are so sorry for your loss. Tony was one of the greatest persons we have ever known. I wish we could have had more time with you both together. I'm sure he is now smiling for he is with our Maker and is watching and waiting for our arrival some day. His love for people and animals can not be matched. Nila, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Tony will be missed. His smile and his sense of humor were second to none. He would do anything for anyone. He had a love for animals that was amazing.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I met Tony through his dog grooming business. While always professional, he also got to know his clientele personally and became a good friend to us. Tony will be missed by us as well. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
