Family-Placed Obituary


HARPER, Caleb Michael one year old son of Carly Evilsizer and Jordan Harper, died Tuesday afternoon, May 9, 2006 in Children's Hospital, Columbus. He was born in Marysville, Ohio on April 16, 2005. Caleb will be remembered for his fighting spirit, the many lives he touched, and the little miracles in his life. No matter how sick he was, Caleb always greeted people with a smile. Survivors in addition to his loving and devoted parents include his grandparents, Michael and Margaret Evilsizer of Springfield, Vaughn and Jaylene Shaffer of Springfield, and Jay and Vicci Harper of Warsaw, Ohio; and great grandparents, Mrs. Betty Asterino of Urbana, Mrs. Peggy Evilsizer of Springfield, Barbara Perry of Springfield, and Marlene Harper of Crooksville, Ohio. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Brooke (Patrick) Martin, Joshua Harper, and Ryan, Vonnessann, and Ariel Shaffer, all of Springfield; a special cousin, Emily Musick of Springfield; and many great aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by great grandfathers, Charles Evilsizer, John Asterino, Floyd Perry, and William Harper Jr. "Caleb, we love you every second of every minute of every hour of every day, forever and ever and always." A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the doctors, nurses, staff, and "Caleb's Little Girlfriends" on the sixth floor at Children's Hospital. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital, 700 Children's Drive, Columbus, Ohio, 43205 or the Lauren Faith Miller Foundation, 9046 Waynebrown Drive, Powell, Ohio, 43065.
