News Death Notice
HOPPE, Carl E. 85 passed from this life on Saturday, April 2 at Forest Glen Health Campus. Originally from Zanesville, Ohio, Carl had lived in Springfield since 2000. Carl is survived by his son Karl (Barbara), grandsons Matthew of Springfield, Michael (Reed) of Dothan, Alabama, and Seth, Millington, Tennessee, and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Susanna and Samuel. Funeral arrangements are being handled by William Thompson and Son Funeral Home in White Cottage, Ohio. Visiting hours are on Thursday, April 7, from 10AM until noon with services and burial immediately following.

Sorry to hear of Carl"s passing. My Dad(Ward Bichard) always had a great time talking to Carl at church.

I lived across the street from Mr. Hoppe's parents on Seborn Avenue in Zanesville in the early fifties. I was around the age of five and I absolutely loved his mother. Of course she talked lovingly about her son. I remember running across the street to see the elder Carl when he came home from work. This seemed to be a beautiful and loving family! My condolences on the loss of this father, grandfather, and great
