Chad Fent Obituary
News Death Notice
FENT, Chad E. 36, of Springfield passed away October 22, 2011 in his residence. He was born October 23, 1974, the son of Carl and Patricia Fent, Sr. Chad had a passion for working on cars and motorcycles, building race cars, putting models together, but he loved spending time with his family the most. He was a self-employed auto mechanic. Chad was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; and a brother-in-law Pete Ferguson. His survivors include his wife Rebecca L. Fent, whom he married June 30, 2001; eleven children Rusty, Johnathon, Melissa, Chad Allen, Clarissa, Terra, Trudy, Brandon, Kierra, Chad Jr., and Sarah; six sisters Debbie (Bob) Reames, Susie (Allan) Riggsby, Sandy (Rob Niebel) Call, Opal Hoffman, Stella (Elmer) Stiltner, and Olivia Ferguson; five brothers Carl, Jr., Francis, Michael, Andrew, and Dustin Fent; six grandchildren Dionisio, Mateo, Russell, Jordan, Aalyiha, Rylan, and one on the way Khloe; mother-in-law Judy; grandmother-in-law Carol; many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A celebration of his life will be Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Memorial Home with Elder Garfield Parker as well as Evangelists for Christ Motorcycle Ministry. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. I was truly in amazement to learn of the passing of such a wonderful strong kind character like chad. I remember him working on my cars in his history he was ALWAYS such an "honest" young man and ALWAYS willing to give a good price for his "talent" AND if.the car didn't run right after he worked on it ...fine! He would work on it AGAIN! I hadn't saw Chad for MANY years....I only hope he got the chance to own his own garage here on earth BUT..If he didn't...I think that's gonna be OK...as.....I'm sure God has a big beautiful garage in heaven for him! This world NEEDS more "honest young men" like Chad Fent. Chad was a great credit to this society and....will truly be missed by many. God bless his family in this time of sorrow my heart go out to you, one of your old neighbours Cindy Smith and family. God bless you all that are in mourning.

Chad was such a great friend to so many...so many people looked up to him. Chad will never be forgotten. My prayers are with family. I haven't seen Chad for many years but his looks stayed the same. I know he is not suffering any longer. I know the angels are carrying him from mansion to mansion. He is in the Promise Land and I bet he is working on cars there as well.

To Becky and Kids,
Our family is saddenned by Chads passing an we want you to know how wonderful he was and how much we love you all!!! Two little girls in kindergarten,(Clarrissa&Paige), brought our families together and we have always stayed in touch. Chad had so much courage, we know he passed it on to you all, use the courage, remember his words and make him proud. You are all his legacy. Chad, you were a wounderful kind person and Me, Maddy and Travis will miss you. Our hearts go out to the family, we all know what your going through with the recent passing of my mom. I was so saddened when I learned of the passing of such a strong and kind man. I had the privilege of crossing paths many times over the past 2 years with both Mr.and Mrs. Fent and can say these are people who left a lasting imprint on my heart. Becky, I hope you find comfort in the knowledge that your husband (and you as well) touched the lives of myself as well as so many of my colleagues. It is people like you two who help mold caregivers' hearts into soft instruments of healing. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives. I believe that we earn a bit of immortality when we are in others' memories and in this way Chad will always be alive in so many people's hearts.
