Constance WHITMAN Obituary
News Death Notice
WHITMAN, Constance A. "Connie" (Insley) 80, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born October 10, 1933 in Springfield the daughter of Carlton A. and Hazel L. (Peterman) Davis. She retired from Huntington Bank as a teller after 15 years, prior to which she worked as a cashier at Albers Grocery Store for 15 years. Survivors include two sons, Daryl Insley and Daniel & Nancy Insley, Springfield; two stepchildren, Joe Whitman, Colorado and Sandra & Bryan Barletto, Springfield; six grandchildren, Melinda, Kimberly, Matthew, Adam, Joseph and Gregory Insley; seven step grandchildren, Cally Miller, Dustin Burk, Corey & Abigail Burk, Jason and Michael Whitman, Melanie Workman, Michael Dennis, Shannon Weese and Paul Weese, III, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Linda Wilson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger Insley; her second husband, Robert Whitman; son, Gary Insley; stepson, Bill Whitman; sister, Barbara Daniels and two brothers, Mike and Martin Davis. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Richard Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven. Memorial donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice.

Connie was a wonderful friend and person. I am sorry for your loss and I know you will all miss her terribly. She spoke of her family often and talked about how wonderful you were to her. She cherished you all. I shall miss her at the Wednesday night euchre. She will be in my thoughts. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Sleep well my dear friend you earned it.

I had the pleasure of working with Connie at Huntington National Bank for many years. She was a hard worker and a joy to work with. A very sweet lady. My deepest sympathy to your family.
