News Death Notice
McDONALD, Doris Mae 91, of Springfield, passed away January 25, 2016 in the Ohio Masonic Home. She was born August 19, 1924 in Laurel, Mississippi the daughter of John H. and Mary (McCann) Avery. Mrs. McDonald loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had been employed at Stitzels, Stalder's Cafe and the Clock Cafe. She is survived by four children; Patricia (Cliff) Justice, Mary Blazer, Sandy (Stan) Beard and Pamela (Dieter "Spike") Pryor all of Springfield, grandchildren; Melvin (Brenda) Justice, Terri (Bob) Schielke, John McDonald, Crystal McDonald, Tina (John) Blazer, Zachary Beard, Jason McDonald, Ksondra McDonald and Jessica McDonald, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son; William McDonald, a brother; Thomas Avery and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Joseph Shannon officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12 Noon until the time of the services. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
