News Death Notice

WALKER, Edith A. 90, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, April 02, 2011, in the Ohio Masonic Home. She was born on May 1, 1920, in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ruben H. and Georgia O. (Walburn) Hartzfeld. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, William K. Walker, her second husband, Harold P. Walker, and one step-daughter: Barbara L. Williams. Mrs. Walker is survived by her step-daughter, Sharon Eichelberger of Springfield, her brother, William F. Hartzfeld of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren and their spouses: Virgiana and Jerry Foreman, Karen and Michael Brewer, Jon and Teresa Williams, David and Rose Williams, Jamie and Linda Bullens, and Steven Bullens, seventeen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Northside Baptist Church, 2425 Derr Rd., Springfield, with Pastor David Hill officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northside Baptist Church - Missions Fund, 2425 Derr Rd., Springfield, OH 45503.
