News Death Notice

FISHBOUGH, Frederick A. "Fred" 76, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2016, in his home. He was born on January 9, 1940, in Springfield, the son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Clayton) Fishbough. Fred retired in 1995 from Security National Bank as Bank Auditor after over 20 years of service. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sports fan. Fred designed and built his own home and loved to spend time with his family. His grandkids will always remember his support as he went to all their sporting events and activities. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Miller) Fishbough, three children: Tim Fishbough of London, David (Cheley) Fishbough of Huntington Beach, California, and Julie (Todd) Castiaux of Springfield; nine grandchildren: Katie, Emily, Eric, Garrett, Hannah, Rachel, Olivia, Brigette, and Carlie; one sister, Nancy Colvin of Waynesville, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his beloved brother-in-law, Kenny Colvin. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

I worked with Fred at the old Springfield Bank while he was in HR. I remember Fred as an outstanding person and one who was easy to talk to. He was blessed to have the grand children and I am glad he was so involved with them. So sorry for your loss.
