Family-Placed Obituary

FINFROCK, Glen (Bill) 89 years, 11 months, and 11 days, passed away early Friday morning at his home with his family by his side. Glen was born in Miami Co to Mearl and W. R. Finfrock and graduated from Covington High School. He resided in Clark Co since 1937 with his wife of 69 years, Eda Mae (Minnich). He raised three sons, Richard, John, and David and retired in 1980 as a tool and die maker from Laughter Corp in Dayton. He served our community helping young people as a 4-H Advisor, earned his Honorary Tecumseh FFA Chapter Farmer Award, and showed sheep at the Clark Co Fair for 50 straight years. Glen served his country in the National Guard. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Lloyd, Charles, Louis, Ralph, and Sam and sister Betty Taylor. He is survived by wife Eda Mae, sister Katherine Yowell of Georgia, sisters-in-law Betty Finfrock of Piqua, Jean Owens of Dayton, Shirley Sketo and Wanda Green of Arizona, and sons Richard Finfrock of New Carlisle, John and Dottie Finfrock of Springfield, and David and Vivian Finfrock of New Carlisle. He was very proud of his grandchildren and their families: Suzette and Jeff McDougall of California, April Finfrock Chandler of California, Dawn and Dan Haack of S. Charleston, Mandi and Rick Klamka of MI, Bryan Finfrock, Robin and Eric Swigart of New Carlisle, Michael and Shannon Finfrock of West Chester, Sheryl and Michael Schlosser of Sandusky, Charles and Jennifer Finfrock of Vienna, Austria, and Daniel Finfrock of New Carlisle. His great-grandchildren are Ashley and Taylor McDougall, Cooper and Caitlin Haack, Annie, Reed, and Gabe Finfrock, Allison and Cody Swigart, and M. Tyler Schlosser of Sandusky. Visitation will be at TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR AND FRALEY FUNERAL HOME in New Carlisle, Sun. May 13, 2007 from 2-6 p.m., and funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Kevin Boggs will officiate the services with burial immediately following at Medway Cemetery on Lower Valley Pike. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420 and Bethel Township EMS.
