News Death Notice
WILSON, Jr., Guy Millard On January 5, 2015 at 8:00 am, Guy Millard Wilson Jr. went home to be with our Lord. He was born February 4, 1935 in Flushing, Ohio to his parents, Guy Sr. and Mildred (Holland) Wilson. Guy was a member of the 1955 graduating class of Springfield High school; he proudly served in the Air National Guard. Guy was the owner operator of Wilson's Auto Repair for 32 years. He began serving the Lord as a youth at Second Baptist Church. Guy was a dedicated member and was ordained as a Deacon in 1995. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Sr. and Mildred Wilson; a sister, Electa May Robbins and two sons, Kenneth Wilson and Guy E. Wilson. Guy leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife and soul mate of 51 years Charlotte (Ragland) Wilson; his children, Diana (Charles) Taylor, Dorothy Yates, Craig (Carla) Wilson all of Springfield, Ohio, Gary E. Wilson Sr. of Maryland and Christopher Lee Wilson of Indiana; a sister Esther Bolin of Maryland; two brothers Marvin (Harriet) Wilson of Tennessee and Charles Wilson of Dayton Ohio; 15 Grandchildren, 26 Great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and special friends. He was also a mentor to many young men especially Mr. Joe (Karen) Lewis. Service for Guy Wilson will be held on Monday January 12, 2015 at Second Missionary Baptist Church 615 South Wittenberg Ave Springfield, Ohio. Visitation will be 10:00am with family present at 11:00am until time of service which will be at 12 noon with Reverend Carl Hutchins officiating. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio. Arrangements entrusted to Porter-Qualls-Dunlap Funeral Home.
