News Death Notice
RESLEWIC, Irene Elizabeth (Goldick) Born April 3, 1924 Dayton, Ohio, passed away May 28, 2011 at Springfield Regional Hospital. Preceded in death by husband Joseph S. Reslewic, sister Anne Scott and brothers Anthony, Joe, Felix, and Jake. Survived by: brother John Goldick of Dayton, daughters Terry (Carl) Smith and Pat Bemesderfer of Springfield. Granddaughters Kim (Ryan) Brant, Michelle (Gary) Block, Stacey (John) Herdering and Amy (Gregg) Coleman. Great Grandchildren Aislynn, Aubrey, and Ava Brant, Madeline and Grace Block, Jacob, Gabrielle, and Griffin Coleman. Survived by many other relatives. Irene retired as bookkeeper from Springfield Tire and Battery. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish. Irene will always be remembered for her excellent cooking and needlework. Thanks to the staff at Sterling House Assisted Living. Irene's wish was to have her body donated to Wright State Medical School, where a memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 2425 East High St., Springfield, Ohio 45505.

I remember working as Irene's nurse at Sterling House. She was always pleasant and had a smile on her face.

Irene was such a joy as she volunteered in our dept. at Community Hospital a number of years ago. She talked with such pride about her family, particularly her children and grandchildren. Each one was so very special to her. Her love for Joe was so deep and she was the essence of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
