I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mac's passing. Mac and I went from grade school through high school together.
We were great friends, and I will cherish many wonderful memories. Regrettably, I haven't seen Mac for many years and only know the Mac I grew up with.
Mac was serious, thoughtful, smart, hilarious, daring, and mischievous. He was the great jokester and prankster.
Once when we were "cruising" at Frisch's in a VW Bug, Mac was challenged to a race around the parking lot by another VW. Mac's first response to the challenge was "Are you crazy?" When challenged again it was "How many laps?" Mac raced to victory in the first, and I'm sure, the only Frisch's Big Boy Race!
This is the Mac I will remember. Thanks for being my friend!
God Bless

Sorry to here about Mac's passing. We worked together at Brell, Target Construction and Exxcel Project Management. We spent many good times together; camping, playing cards, partys and work. The last time we spoke was at Home Depot in Columbus,Ohio. He will truly be missed. Marty

I was so sad to hear of Mac's passing. It brought back many happy memories of my days at Ohio State hanging around with Mac and Don Lane. Mac, the great tease, hysterical in a quiet way, sarcastic without being mean. I can still see his smile and hear his voice. And Moody Blues playing in the background.

I'm in shock. I've been trying to find him. We were great friends in High School and after. The last time i saw him was when we went to the Reds playoffs and world series in the early 90s. Miss you my friend.

Mac and Joyce were raised in the Enon United Methodist Church with all of the ole time families, Parrish's, Hanes, Lanes, Fowbles, and many more. We reflect on those memories often even though we lose track of each other.. Good families, good people. So sorry for your loss. Prayers for peace and comfort. Larry and Nancy Parrish Grube

Mac and I became friends through his best friend and my partner in life danny Blake.
He welcomed me in to his world and family, and I felt so honored to become a part of this amazing mans family.
I only regret not having one last Vodka martini with him.

Mac, I shall miss by best friend/brother. I cannot imagine not knowing you; we had some very wonderful times together. Fortunately, we matured before Laurisa and Alex came into your life. You were a great dad to two wonderful girls. You will never be gone; there are two many great memories. Because of those memories, I do not need to say good-bye. danny, Tucson,AZ

Mac (aka "The Worlds Best Neighbor") and I were next door neighbors for 11 years. He was not just a neighbor, he was a dear friend. Mac welcomed me into his amazing, loving family and took me and my now 10 year old niece under his wing. I felt so safe having Mac right next door because I knew I could count on him for anything, especially a good laugh. If the electric went out in the neighborhood Mac would text me once his electric came back on just to make sure mine was back on also. That is just one example of many. Mac was truly one of a kind. I'll miss our chats and the many laughs we shared. I am so thankful I was blessed to be a part of his life.

Mac and I attended first grade together and had been best friends since. After high school we shared an apartment for two years while attending Ohio State. After I moved to San Francisco, 1976, we did not see much of each other although we stayed in touch by letter and phone. Speaking with him it was like we had just seen one another the day before. We shared the ups and downs of life and always had a good laugh. I valued his friendship greatly and will miss our chats. A good man has passed and I will miss him.
