Family-Placed Obituary


PENDLETON, John Lloyd 65, of Springfield passed away at 4:43 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1940 in Springfield the son of John Henry and Maude (Randolph) Pendleton. Mr. Pendleton had attended the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Eagles, Union Club and was retired from Navistar following 36 years of service. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and playing golf. Survivors include his wife, Goldie (Jones) Pendleton; two children, Brian Pendleton, Jeanne Ann Pendleton, both of Springfield; three step children, Ivan (Joan) Pendleton, Columbus, Larry Estep, Syracuse, Indiana and Barbara (James) Richart, Urbana; eight grandchildren, Brett, Jason, Ryan, Angie, Tina, Rachel, Coy and Rebecca; one great-granddaughter, Hayley; one sister, Dolores (Bill) Aarup, London; one brother, Wayne (Emily) Pendleton, Dayton; special nephew, Eric Pendleton; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers Dean, Bill, Harlan and Donald. Friends may call in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME from 5-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
