Johnny SKILES Obituary


News Death Notice

SKILES, Johnny Ray 72, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 23, 2012 in his residence. He was born October 11, 1940 in Weeksbury, Kentucky, the son of John H. and Sadie (Sword) Skiles. Johnny was a member of Forest Valley Free Will Baptist Church. He served his county in the United States Air Force. He worked and retired from International / Navistar after forty-two years. Survivors include his wife Barbara Jean (Haney) Skiles; sister, Zanada Eloise (Donald) McDavid; three brothers, Gary (Julinia) Skiles; Larry (Carol) Skiles and Billy (Lilly) Skiles all of Springfield and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles E. Skiles; three brothers, Clester, Ronald, and Daniel Skiles. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Forest Valley Free Will Baptist Church, 1821 Troy Road, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Del Wallace officiating. Entombment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family is being served by LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. You may express condolences to the family at www.littletonandrue.com
