Loretta R. "Kitty" Rutroff

News Death Notice

RUTROFF, Loretta R. "Kitty" 81, of Springfield passed away Monday afternoon in Good Shepherd Village. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 29, 1930 the daughter of Ervine and Nolena P. (West) Rodgers. She retired in 1985 from the William Bayley Co. after twenty years of service. She was a member of St. Bernard Church, life member of VFW#1031 Auxiliary and AMVETS #25, member of the Union Club. Survivors include her husband of thirty-six years, R. Dean Rutroff; five step-children and spouses, Mary and Terry Weld, Dansville, NY, Carole and Doug Caylor, Springfield, Dean R. Rutroff, Washington Court House, OH, Debra and Bob Putnam, Springfield, OH, Linda and Tom Bostick , South Charleston, OH; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; brother, Harley L. Rodgers, Thousand Oaks, CA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons, Ervine Nelson and Kenneth R. Dean and Dana Rodgers. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Jerald Dudney, staff at Good Shepherd Village and Cross Roads Hospice for the wonderful care and support they shown to Kitty over the past two years. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Fr. Dennis Caylor officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Chapel Cemetery.
