News Death Notice
MALONEY, Michael P. 52 of Springfield died August 21, 2011 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born June 30, 1959 the son of James and Therese (McConnell) Maloney. He had worked as a warehouse manager for W.R. Hackett, Inc. for 31 years, was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Past President of The Irish Fellowship Society, past member of The Catholic Central High School Foundation and a member of The Knights of Columbus #624. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Eileen (Murphy); three children and spouses, Adam & Chelsie Maloney, Centerville, Alex Maloney, Cincinnati and Maggie Maloney, Springfield; father and step-mother, James and Mary Ellen Maloney, Springfield; eight siblings and spouses, Laura (Kevin) Dancy, Springfield, Erin (Tom) Trempe, Springfield, Katie Simmons, Columbus, Tracy (Ben) Everingham, Cincinnati, Liz (Chad) Martin, Pittsburgh, Brian Maloney (partner, Stelian Serban), New York City, Patrick (Sharene) Maloney, Springfield and Matt Maloney, Springfield. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Teresa Catholic Church with Fr. Dennis Caylor officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the CCHS Foundation.
